Going to Nashville, TN over Christmas - any suggestions?

We've decided to take a family vacation to Nashville, TN this year after not having a family vacation in over 10 years. It's not an overly HUGE one (like Hawaii or something), but we wanted to go somewhere to get away (DH is recovering from cancer this year). Of course, we still need to be cautious on spending, so I'm just wondering if anyone has suggestions for something fun to do, without breaking the bank? I know about the Opryland Hotel and how nice it's decorated at Christmas and fully intend to go there, but I was wanting to get some other ideas.

Thanks in advance for any input!
