How many weeks can you go up to in pregnancy.....

cause i am 40 weeks and 6 days. i'll be 41 weeks tomorrow. i heard you can go up to 42 weeks of pregnancy. i was wondering is that true??

  • I was 41 and a half before my son was born, if I didn't have him that week they were going to induce me.

  • There is NO sure way to tell the exact date of conception so you may be off by a week or 2 and your Dr will decide when it's too long and induce you.

  • i went 42w3d and then induced..doctor told me if you go more than 10 days overdue the placenta starts to deteriorate..

    43-45 weeks is more common, but rarely, some will go much longer.
