  • Well the Bible doesn't feel anything on the subject since it is an inanimate object.... *wink, wink*

If you are asking how God feels about divorce, He is not a fan. As the PP's said, God hates divorce and He gives very few reason's for allowing a couple to divorce...the biggie being adultery. Rather, God wishes for His children to try their best (both husband and wife) to work out their differences and keep the marriage intact. As Christians we are not to take our marriage vows lightly and we are to strive to ensure the part that says "til death do us part."

  • You could do a word study and use a concordance to see what the Bible says concerning divorce.

  • The bible is not against divorce. That is a misconception. What the bible is against is not having the proper papers for divorce. For instance, if a man or a woman wanted to be apart, sometimes it was overly easy to dissolve a relationship and a family and this left many women and children without recourse as far as the necessities of life, as in being thrown out by the husband because he is not so happy with the relationship. Also, if the woman left without the proper documentation that she was indeed free, she could be stoned if she married another man. So the edicts in the bible are really talking about divorce without proper legal severing of the relationship. You can google this. This is the problem with modern readings of the bible. It is overly literal, without taking into context what was going on in the historic time period.
