Birthday present for MIL?

I'm racking my brain trying to come up with something inexpensive ($25) for my MIL who is turning 70 on Friday. She loves gardening, so her yard is full of plants and flowers. My first thought was a gardening pad for her to kneel on, but she has one. Any ideas?
PS - I love her!

  • My dd made stepping stones once from a kit at Michaels craft store. Could you or your kids make something for her garden?

  • a nice planter, wind chimes, a decorative thermometer/ or birdfeeder - honestly Lowes or homedepot have great choices... most the time that i dont know what to get for my mom - who also gardens - i just go wander around those stores until i see something that matches her garden/ yard decor in some way. also you have have kids make garden stones - they sell kids at craft stores... gmas like that... you can do handprints or older kids can make designs.

  • a handmade stone for the garden would be really cute from the kids.

  • What about a nice bird feeder for her garden? Gift card to menards or lowes?

    A nice hanging basket?

  • gift cards are the easy way to go. maybe you could buy her some stepping stones with words on them? or some new gardening tools. maybe a nice patio chair. sprinklers? a hose and a nice sprayer? heck, maybe even some pots and plants and potting soil? or some round up spray to get rid of weeds?

  • Does she have nice gardening gloves? They are always a nice gift, I think.

  • Mine crochets, so I might get her some patterns or materials that she wants.

Other than that, anything from the kids is a safe bet. LOL. I've gotten her candles that have "grandma" themes, hand molds, etc. Usually if it is something from the kids I throw a gift certificate for the arts and crafts store and new pics of the kids in the card.
