Do you feel valued?

(Sorry there isn't a category for personal thoughts or feelings)

As a woman? a wife? a mother? a daughter? a person?

  • Yes...

First and foremost I value myself... that has a HUGE impact on my feelings of " value"/"worth". So I value myself as a woman, as a wife, as a mother, as a daughter, as a friend as a human being.

My husband values as a woman, a wife, a mother and a human being. My son values me as a mother and a human being. My mother values me as a daughter and human being. I feel that all who are nearest and dearest to me value me for me, value me as a human being, and value me in terms of whatever role I play in their lives.. All in my life show and express to me how they value me (and I them).

I truly believe, that the biggest reason why I feel/see how they value me, is due to the fact that I see the value in myself.

  • I do not.

My husband and kids think the laundry, dishes, bills, etc etc magically care for themselves and I have had to let my dr appointments and a few surgeries and physical therapy goto the back burner to accommodate my husband and his self diagnosed seasonal affective disorder which means he's crabby/depressed until all the snow is gone and it's nice outside again

  • Sometimes yes. Recently, I haven't felt valued at all, due to stuff that's going on. I know my DH tries, but lately it's not working. Also the fact that his grandmother came up, poked me in the stomach and said 'You need to lose weight so you can get pretty' didn't help the appreciation factor either.
