A question from my daughter

My daughter goes to church every Sunday, I don't, I'm Agnostic, anyway, she just asked me yesterday, "Mom, why does God make bad things happen?" I have no idea how to answer this, I don't want to answer from my point of view because she is a Christian and I don't want to distort her religious views, so do you ladies have any ideas of what I can tell her? She is 5 by the way...well 6 tomorrow :)

  • God doesn't make bad things happen. People have free will. People choose their own path good or bad. As a follower of Christ she can be an example of what the Bible teaches. People learn from example. Hope this helps.

  • FREE WILL.

If she is talking about things like cancer... I have no "religious" answer but more of a 'new age' type answer. I believe we have lessons to learn while we are here and some of those lessons are very difficult and are only learned in painful ways. Our souls need the lessons.... but not every soul needs the same lesson.
