Is there a way to keep black snakes away?

I live in FL & black racer snakes are common. Is there a way to keep them out of the yard & house? (& yes I did find one in my house!!!!!!!)

  • While. Its scary when you find them in the house(I found a baby one in the bathroom once lol) having them and king snakes around is GOOD. They eat lizards,bugs,voles and rodents away.they're not poisonous

  • There are sprays you can get at Ace Hardware and lowes to spray around your property to keep them away.

  • I have an indoor cat & she is the one who let me know that there was a snake in the bathroom! She was scared too but let me know about it.

  • I personally would not want to get rid of them. They eat rodents, and do not bother humans! But I can definitely understand not liking to have them in the house.
