PB&J

Tell me about the PB&J's you make...

- Crunchy or smooth PB? Do you stick to a certain brand?

- Grape Jelly or something else? Do you stick to a certain brand?

- PB on one slice with jelly on the other or PB and jelly on same slice? White/wheat/other bread?

- Do you cut? With/without crust? In half/in fourths? Straight across/diagonally/shapes?

My 5yo DD lives off of PB&J. Hers goes as follows:

- Creamy Jiff Peanut Butter

- Smuckers Grape Jelly

- White bread with PB on one slice and jelly on the other

- Cut using a no-crust sandwich cut-out of two dolphins and heart in middle

  • Lets see...creamy peanut butter. No particular brand just as long as it is natural with just peanuts and salt as the ingredients.
    Fig jam or nothing.
on 7 grain wheat. no cutting.

  • Creamy Jiff peanut butter.... Smuckers grape squeezable jelly ( I swear it tastes different from a squeeze bottle) Strohman's white bread family size ( cause the slices are bigger)... and I pick the crust off as I eat it and give it to my dogs... :) I'm pretty perticular when it comes to my PB&J

  • Creamy PB - Simply Jif is my fav, but Skippy or Jif regular work too.
Strawberry jam that doesn't have huge chunks - preferrably homemade so it has less sugar.
Cheap white bread - has to be a very specific kind though or it's not "right".
PB on one slice, jam on the other, both spread all the way to the edge, crust left on.
Gol dang, now I'm hungry for a PBJ!

  • Oh, and the kids & DH don't care - grape, strawberry, peach, rhubarb, blueberry, almost any of my homemade jams they use. They don't care about the bread or the pb either, or how it's put together. As long as they get their pbj, lol!
