Might sound stupid ... but was does "civil partnership" mean? (read on facebook)

Being together without being married? I'm not sure because in Europe this term is often used to describe a gay/ lesbian relationship in particular.

  • It's the stupid way to say two females/two males are MARRIED! I hate it. When I marry my fiance, my status will say MARRIED, not in a domestic partnership or whatever else they have. I deserve the SAME rights as everyone else and just want to be treated like it...
