What is your first thought when you get mail from your childs school?

Every time I get a letter addressed to "the parents/guardians of..." my first thought is 'NOW what did he do?!' Anyone else? BTW this time it was school general information.

  • No.. my kid has yet to get into serious trouble that would require a mailed letter from the school.

My first thought is what do they want now. They're always sending requests for money or help selling things.

  • In the mail we get report cards and progress reports and my heart does skip a beat till I open it. The schools here will call you personally if there are more serious problems. Mail and emailing is for grades , homework, school info only...But yes I always worry a bit when anything comes.

  • That's my thought exactly, what did my kids do now? They are pretty good kids most of the time but there are times when their evil twins take over.

  • I am blessed...my kids are good eggs so to speak so I never sweat the school letters. Not to say they are perfect and I may not get a bad letter ever...but so far so good.
