Is this tacky?

Okay, so i am trying to decorate my sons nursery., and we are trying to save money because he was born early and is spending time in the NICU. So i decided to use the pretty bags that all the clothes and stuff come in at the baby shower. I am cutting them up into circles (which match the bedding) and cut out ballons and used the ribbon from the handles as the string to the ballons. Also cute out block letter of his name and put it over the head of the crib. So my question is if this is tacky and i should leave the walls bare or if it sounds like a cute idea.

Sounds like it's boardering tacky to me, if the things are just taped up there. He isn't a teenager with posters of girls taped all over his room. I think itd be cutter if you found some cheap frames and cut out the circles and framed them, then hung them up. Not too keen on the balloons and string...
