Are you going to apply online or go there and apply? I tried applying online and I didn't get any response and the one by me is ALWAYS hiring, so I would recommend going on site and doing the application. GL to you

It's a job. I worked at walmart when I was 17 (over 10 years ago) but I never had any issues at all. I loved it really. It all depends on your management and coworkers on whether you will like it or not.

I heard they have good benefits there. But yeah give it a shot, if you don't like it you can always give your 2 weeks notice. How great that its just walking distance, by my house the only thing thats walking distance is the damn college :/

yep...a job is a job these days. You work where you can find work. I would work at Wal-mart if I needed to but I won't let my teenagers work there (they've asked). The Wal-mart by my house is no place for kids. The employees seem to be so unhappy and it's like they're doing me a favor for letting me shop in they're store. I hope the one near you is better than the one by me.

My mom use to work for Wal-mart and loved it! I have heard both good and bad about working for Wal-mart. But that is true about most places. You can always quit if you hate it! Money is money! Go apply! What's the worst that can happen?

Any job is a good job. NO matter where you work there will be some sort of issue to make you unhappy anyway right? if you can get a job then take it!

It really sounds ideal- close by, part time. Give it a try, you don't have to stay for years if you hate it.
