  • That all depends on what kind of wedding you are wanting. My SO and I are wanting to get married & we are spending more money on our honeymoon than anything. LOL

  • We will be married on June 11 this year. For dress, rings, outfits, honeymoon and all, we will only have spend around $6000.

Half of that is for the honeymoon. All inclusive to Mexico for 7 nights. cheapcarribbean.com or applevacation.com

We agreed that it's pointless to spend an enoumous amount of money on a wedding that lasts a day. $17000 is a great downpayment on a house or car. Why spend that on a party for guests since that is what a wedding and reception is about...not the bride and groom. If it were for the bride and groom, everyone else would pay for the wedding and reception.

  • It depends on SOOOO much. Where are you going to have the wedding? Do you have to pay the person who marries you? Where are you going to have the reception? Will it be catered? What type of foods will you offer? How big a cake do you want? Will you give out favors? How much decorating do you plan to do at the reception? How about the rehearsal dinner? Where is that going to be? Are you paying for the groomsmen and brides maid's clothing or are they? What about gifts for the groomsmen and brides maids? Are you going to get your hair/make-up/nails done?

Ahhh...brings back so many overwhelming memories of planning my wedding 14 years ago! LOL
