  • Baking soda and it works really good.Especially if they were smelly. I used to do my sons football gear in it all the time.

  • Vinegar sets dye. It keeps say, a red and white striped shirt from running if you wash it the first time in vinegar. Also both baking soda and vinegar removed odor (like the stink scents from laundry soap in hand-me-downs). baking soda soaks up grease stains. Vinegar can remove some stains too.

  • Yes! The baking soda takes out stains and the vinegar removes smells. I love using those- plus the vinegar makes a great fabric softener.
