What is a bump and what does it do?

Iv'e seen many questions get bumped what does that mean, Is the person going to be bumped off the site?

  • A bump is when you agree with the answer before yours and don't really have anything to add.

  • When you bump a question it moves your question up by one.

  • It lets cafemoms know that you need more answers to a question and your question should be answered, because its a good question.

  • The more bumps the higher and higher it moves up on the long list of questions.

  • In Answers, it doesn't do a whole lot - if a question gets a LOT of bumps it's featured in the "most bumped" list. It's different in groups - in groups, the post will physically move to the top of the list. But putting "bump" as an answer to a question does NOTHING, and it does not move a question up.
