Silly rabbit....

easters for Jesus. Read this and thought it was cute. Do you celebrate easter for Jesus or for the fun of the easter bunny? My kids know that easter is for Jesus (in my house) but i still color easter eggs and do an egg hunt the day before just for fun.

  • I go to church with my mom and pretend I'm not an Atheist. Does that count?

  • We don't celebrate it at all
however,I am a big fan of the 1/2 price Easter candy the day after!

  • Yes, me too...I'll probably get another vote down...LOL!

No tooth fairy, no Santa, so Easter Bunny. We take religion seriously in our house, it's no fantasy....

Guess what?!?! She has just as much fun as the other kids do during Easter & Christmas. The gifts are from Jesus at Christmas time here too!

  • Jesus all the way. We let her do the Easter Egg hunts, but i told her from day one that the Easter bunny is not real.

To us, religion is knowledge & i want her to know the TRUTH behind Easter.

  • We celebrate Oestara on the Vernal Equinox .

"Easter" is all about the Bunny. (Just like, in our house, Xmas is all about Santa.)

  • Since I am not christian....and noone in this home is....then its all about the bunny. But I do have respect for those who celebrate it for Jesus. I was raised christian but found a better path for me. Happy Easter hope your sunday goes well and you have fun!

  • I'm with you Anon ... I see no reason to remove the fun spirit of the holidays. I taught my son about Santa and the Easter Bunny. When we were Christian, he was told the religious stories of the holidays as well. I really don't see the two not being able to mesh together.

Even with no kids in the house, I still color the eggs and buy everyone here a chocolate rabbit. Well, MINE isn't chocolate because I really don't like it unless it's dark and I haven't seen any dark chocolate bunnies.
