well i give my kids a nap all the way til they start school but my friend only does til her kids are probably little over 12 months so just curious.i know i like that time to do my house chores.i also think they still get grouchy without it. now she doesnt so they can go to sleep earlier for bed and use that as her my time

  • My son stopped on his own at 2. I still had him do quiet time. I don't think there is a specific age, it's when the kids no longer need a nap.

  • until they start school. my kids are 15 months, 28 months and 4.5 years and all of them nap during the day still. occasionally my 4.5 year old won't sleep but she still has quiet time for an hour. i think it's healthy and beneficial to both kid and parent to atleast have quiet time.

  • i think when they start school mines in preschool tho and stil has naps but come kinder the naps will be comeing to an end. no naps makes it easy to send them to bed early for bed time being that they would have school in mornings.

  • When it became a fight just to get either of my children to have 5 minutes of quiet time in their rooms naps were done. That meant that my son quit at about 4 years old and my daughter quit at about 3 years old.

  • My 3 year old still needs a nap every day. If he doesn't have one and we go out in the evening he falls asleep instantly in the car. My 4 year old takes maybe 2 or 3 a week. He can go w/o one and still be in a good mood and not fall asleep if we go somewhere but after a couple days or three of not having one, he needs one. My dd is 1 1/2 and definitely needs them. She still takes about a 3 hour nap every day.
