Do you hate these terms too?

baby mama

baby daddy

For some reason I absolutly HATE those terms!!!! Even though I have SERIOUS issue with how my step-daughter's mother conducts herself I still think that she deserves the respect of at least being called "Mazzy's mother" Of course this is just me...but I was
wondering if anyone else felt the same way.

  • I don't like them because they seem to make light of having babies with people with whom there is no commitment.

  • It sounds disrespectful. It is the child's father/mother. Whether they are in the kids life or not, crap parent or super parent the fact is they are the child's other biological parent. I also hate 'sperm donor'.

  • I'm a single mom. And I absolutely hate those terms. I try really hard not to judge, but I can't help it. Baby daddy just sounds so trashy.

  • It doesn't completely drive me crazy- I've just learned it's the way the younger generation has chosen to ID a person. I dont chose to use those terms, b/c I like to say (child's name) mom or dad. I just think it sounds better.

  • nope, don't like them and never use the term, i would say the kids name and their mother or father, that's why they feel they can do certain things with having that label on them

  • tacky

  • I'm not a fan of them, but I use them from time to time (usually making fun of something from a movie or something). I never use them in a serious way, though.

  • ive seen it around CM. i kind of have to slow down and tell myself..."baby"- HER baby..."Daddy"...the baby's Dad..."my child's father" sounds more respectful. would they say that in real life? i wonder...

  • I don't like them either. And I can't believe your stepdaughter's name is Mazzy! I know a guy with a daughter named Mazzy!
