  • Some children might, some might not. It depends on their personality.
I think really it's their parents who enjoy it the most.
My kids would enjoy plenty of things that I choose not to let them indulge in because I don't think it's in their best interest...

  • Even if my child did enjoy it, I wouldn't like it! It sends the wrong message, no matter HOW nice the people are.

  • Some kids like to perform. They like to get dressed up. They like to win.

  • Okay, I see you edited your question so now those of us who answered before you changed it look like we can't read--

I would imagine that some children are natural "hams" who enjoy performing and enjoy the attention and praise they receive for their performances in the pageant.

  • The attention its the same for children in sports and sports parents and stage parents are the same too just different arenas. If they enjoy all that they need to do for the pageants and the parents are there to back them and no one is getting hurt then its no ones business.

  • My daughter has never been in one, but she'd probably love it. She's very dramatic and likes to be a ham sometimes.

  • I agree with the pp, most of the time it's the parents. Most of the time they aren't even walking yet, so that only leaves it to the parents.
