Health insurance for children

Someone told me that schools now require children to have insurance. If parents do not have it thru their jobs than they have to get Medicaid or other state insurance.
Is this in all states?
What if parents do not qualify for state insurance and cannot afford it thru their jobs?

  • Most states offer insurance just for kids for those who don't qualify for Medicaid. Call the Health Dept and ask how to sign up. That's how we got it for my grandchildren
