How long after an injury can you start working out again?

Not necessarily an injury from working out, but anything like bruised ribs, sprained ankle, etc. Is it ok to start again once you aren't hurting, or should you wait longer?

  • i would check with your dr... they should be able to tell you when you are healed enough to start up again

  • I don't have a doctor (no health insurance). I had to go to the ER a few nights ago and they basically said to take it easy for a week or so and keep taking ibuprofin to keep inflammation down.
