How long did you wait to have baby#2 ?

My dh and I have always said that we would like to have two maybe three children. I was wondering how long ( months, years.. Ect) after your first child did you wait to have your second child....

( I'm not loosing weight at all yet, I'm also not getting younger)

  • It was an "oops" for me too- Our 2nd will be born when our 1st is 20months old- so basically 1 year of waiting. I think I'm kinda happy with the 'oops' age gap :-)

  • I am pregnant with 3 now, but we talked about it when my first was 8 months, but 1 I new I couldn't do it that close and 2 we had a 1 bedroom apartment (we slept in the livingroom and dd slept in the bedroom) I wanted to make sure we had a bigger place before having another baby so we moved I got pregnant within2 months of moving in our 3 bedroom house lol. So I got pregnant when my oldest was 2 years and I had the baby 3 months before she turned 3. This time around I am due in augest my first will be 6 next friday so she will be 6 years and 4 months when baby is here and my youngest 3 years will be 3.5 years and 1 month when this baby is born

  • My second pregnancy wasnt planned, mine are 19 months apart... but it ended up being a pretty good gap. Would have like to wait a little longer though.

  • there is no perfect plan. my 2nd child was born when my first was 3 and a half years old...found that it was hard for the first. third child was 15 months from second they grew up like twins..very close. now my children are adults and are very close to each other. what i didn't plan on was the expense of college when 2 or more are going...however they are more eligible for loans when 2 or more are in college.
