What does your teen call you? Mom? Mommy?

My 14 year old son calls me Mother. Everybody thinks it's hilarious but a bit creepy. He's just a funny character with very dry humor.

  • My daughter calls me Mom. When she wants something she usually walks into the room where her Dad & I are sitting and says "Hey Guys".

  • My oldest has always called me Mie :) Everyone loves it and the other two just followed her. I have never been called mom, mommy, mother or anything but Mie... Sounds like ma-ee but said fast and together.. Man its tough to get sounds on the computer LOL..

  • Well, "Mom" is their default. My son calls me mother a lot too, and I can never quite tell whether he's being facetious about it or not. I rarely get Mommy anymore. I usually only get that from my daughter, when she's whining. She says it a lot when she's sick (i.e., Mommy, my throat huurrtss....). It's the most piteous thing I've ever heard. I'm like putty in her hands when she does that.

  • More often than not, my son calls me Mom. If he wants something, it's Momma.
