  • First set of molars usually appears around 1 year, second set around 2 years.

And molars are usually more painful because there's more surface area cutting the gum. It also tends to last longer.

  • it varies. my 15 month old grew 4 molars in at once and this happened about a week ago. but i think my older two daughters got theirs a little closer to 18months

  • well the ones all the way in the back don't come in until they're 3 or 4, but the first pre-molars usually come in around 2 i think. my daughter got hers earlier than my boys did.....but she got them when she only had 6 teeth in the front for some reason lol

  • also, in your opinions... is the teething with the furthur back teeth more or less of a pain to the baby?

  • DS just got them all at once and he's 23 months. He was whinney but didn't scream like he did when the front 2 came in. Every child is different though.
