Will my nipples ever turn pink again?

I breast fed my son for the first month, he is 11 weeks old now, my nipples are still brown, will they ever return to their pre-pregnancy pink color???

  • Mine never did? I think its a part of getting older as well. Your breasts will turn brown as you age.

  • you know i often wondered about this.. two of my friends who lost milk early got pink back, and the rest whose stayed brown, never lost their milk, not until they decided. Mine are at that half way mark... but more pink, and yes, I have been losing my milk for months....

  • I wish I knew the answer to this... mine not only got way bigger around but also got darker and look pretty gross at least I think so

  • the majority of the skin changes that occur during pregnancy do not change.
    your nipples change color during pregnancy regardless of whether or not you breastfeed.

    some moms also notice that moles or freckles become darker. those changes are often permanent, as well.

  • My nipples didnt change color either babydio... mine are still pink and Ive been breastfeeding for the last 6 months. I didnt know they usually changed?

  • Mine have lightened up a little, but aren't back to the pale pink they once were. I still have hope though.
