I had an episiotomy with my first child. The doctor actually told my while he was sewing my up that he was, "Sewing me a quilt." If my legs weren't still numb I would have ninja kicked him in the head for that comment. LOL

I had a small tear with the first 2, but nothing terrible. I only had stitches with the first--4 that dissolved on their own. With my third, no tear or swelling at all down below.

I didn't tear nor did I have an episiotomy (thank god!!) I didn't do anything at all. I told my husband if they even uttered the word episiotomy then to take my ass home because there was no way in hell I wanted them to cut from my vagina to my asshole!! Makes me cringe just thinking about it. (so sorry about the language, but that is the one thing about childbirth that makes me ill)
