If you had a bit of land with a little barn on it and you wanted to put an animal in it, would you choose a goat, a pig or some chickens?

LOL
Just curious...
we've been trying to decide this for the past two years.
We have to start somewhere.. the barn looks lonley out there with no happy animals to fill it.

  • We only have .28 of an acre but we are getting chickens. If I had even 1 acre I'd get the same egg laying chickens, another coop for meat chickens, and at least one cow and possibly a goat. We looking to buy 10+ acres in a few years.

  • Chickens...easier to take care of & you get eggs. Unless you want goat's milk (personally...not me). And a pig..hmm..just one? Pigs can grow up to be mean too.
