Our roof the past couple of weeks has lost quite a few shingles thanks to storms. Everybody around us has had their roofs replaced by insurance in the past few years due to wind damage. We called the insurance company today and they are sending somebody out on Tuesday. We have never made a claim before so we aren't really sure what to expect. Any advice?

This is my job :0). They will come out and assess damages and if you have a good company you could have the check the next day. No one really REQUIRES estimates anymore because the adjusters are pretty well trained in costs for your area. I have had many people get a check on the spot. Good luck....
