My 8 month old is allergic to my cat who I have bottlefed since he was a kitten and I had to give him to a new family today.

I am so very sad right now and wonder hold long it will take for me to get to feeling better.

  • I raised my 3 youngest cats and their siblings (litter of 6) from the time we found them at 2 weeks of age. I would be devistated if I had to give them or any of the others up. I'm so sorry.

  • Focus on your child and don't dwell, your cat is now with a good family.

  • Give yourself time and know it is something you could not avoid. Can you go visit the cat once in awhile? Pretty soon the sadness will be replaced with all the happy memories you have of enjoying the cat. hug
