Do you incorporate the Easter Bunny into Easter?

why or why not?

  •     I used to, but this yr. didn't as our children/grand children were not around & I am trying to Walk in Christ's footsteps as closely as I can!  We even substituted lamb for our meat this yr.

  • No, not really. She has always known he is not real. But, we still do Easter egg hunts, dye Easter eggs & i make her a bitchin basket every year.

  • yes, and no. yes, the bunny is chocolate and is eaten..all other bunnies are ceramic/concrete/mosaic and look great in my gardens.
    no, i don't tell 'the easter bunny legend' to my child as part of the liturgical celebration. oddly enough, we celebrate Christ's coming in, going out, coming up, and going up instead.

  • Yes, but my kids are also aware of the meaning of easter and that is it holy week. I think you can incorporate both and the easter bunny is fun!

  • Well yeah ... Hello ... chocolate BUNNIES!! *huge grin* Especially since I discovered dark chocolate bunnies (thanks dullscissors)!!!! I have fun dying the eggs, putting up bunnies all over the house ... it's all fun.
