Really officer. A ticket and not a warning? REALLY? ::vent::

OMG I went to visit my fiend an hour away in a totally different county. I got pulled over on the way home in her city, an hour away from mine, for having tape on my tail light rather than a lens. (It broke off and I had not replaced it.) So he ask me, when did this happen, I said a few weeks ago. He said it was a city ordinance that all lights have to have the lens, not tape. He went back to his car to write my, what I assumed would be a warning since, why would I know their cities ordnance on lights... NOPE. I got a $63 fine. Geeze. Plus $85 for a new tail light if I ever want to go there again. NOT NICE>

Is there a ticked off section? -- no-- hmm...

  • He probably felt that since it happened a few weeks ago, that you hade plenty of time to fix it.

  • I hate tickets. I think all towns and cities are enforcing the rules/laws/ordinances more aggressively because of their budgets. No leeway any more for anything.

  • Jade. no need to fix it. My county has no such ordnance. It just has to light red. We have red tape on it.

  • I know he was doing his job but really a warning would have been nice.

  • I'm riding the sameway. Prayerfully, I won't be pulled over.

  • Unfortunately since you were in their county, you have to abide by their rules.
