Do you think it is OK?

to use Bubble Bath on a 4 year old?

The reason I ask is my MIL was here last Friday when I was having my heart cath done and she gave our 4 year old a bubble bath; and he has had a small rash on his backside ever since; we took him to the doctor and they gave us some cream for it but I am not happy with the MIL for doing this.

  • Like as soap instead of body wash, or for them to hang out in a bubble bath? Either way I think it's ok. I wouldn't use bubble bath as my main source of washing, but if you ran out of soap and had to use bubble bath once, then I think thats ok.

  • As long as there are no allergies, I think they would LOVE it.
You could always try it and see what your 4 year old thinks.

My dh always (well the occassions he gives the kids baths) loads it up with bubbles.

  • My 4yo has always loved bubble baths & Im betting she will for a long time. even as an adult I enjoy them on occasion. But just be careful they can be harmful for lil' girls. I took dd to the dr. cause i thought she had a UTI & that is the first thing the dr ask is if she had had a bubble bath recently. (she didnt have a uti! :) )

  • If the skin doesn't get irritated go for it. My DD can't, for she gets very irritated from bubble bath.
