FYI about coloring eggs :)

So, not a question, but wanted to share something that I didn't know until now...

When you are coloring eggs, if you want pastel colors, only add water to the tablets. If you want regular/traditional colors, use water with a little lemon juice in them. If you want bright colors, add some white vinegar (I used apple cider vinegar, and it worked good, too).

  • Yep! We just did ours this morning...vinegar makes them take faster and they turn out brighter. I haven't tried the lemon drops yet.

  • Thanks for sharing. Also if you wait for them to dry and rub them with a little olive oil on a paper towel (very little) they will look shiny.
