Vacation ideas

Hubby told me to plan our summer vacation and I'm at a loss for ideas. We live in the Midwest and we don't fly. We have two tweens. We like historical places. Any thoughts or ideas?

  • Washington D.C. has lots to see, and much of it is free!

My family always enjoys San Antonio, Texas. You can visit places like the Alamo for history, and also enjoy water parks, Sea World, Fiesta Texas, the River Walk, and awesome Mexican food.

  • Grand Canyon area?
    Seattle, Washington?
    Yellowstone Park?
How far are you willing to drive? Do you like to stay in hotels & do the tourist thing or rough it in the great outdoors!? Google is my bestfriend for all things of this sort lol

  • We are going to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Craters of the Moon, and Yosemite this summer. Lots of really beautiful places. There are a lot of historical places on the way, especially in Wyoming from what I was just reading.
