1 Bump

Did anyone see that news about the "humungous" baby born in Wisconsin?

The baby was 12 lbs and 23.5 inches long. Seriously? How is that news worthy? They said he was the size of an average 4 month old. Um, no that would be a very very tiny 4 month old boy. Just wondering if anyone else was annoyed by that. Maybe that family was excited to be on the news, personally I would be offended that they were making such a big deal out of the size of my baby, like he was some kind of freak. 12 lbs is uncommon, but not THAT uncommon.

  • There's a mom in one of my groups who had a 13 pound baby at home unassisted. THAT is incredible. A 12 pound baby born by planned C-section is dumb lol. That doctor had no idea if that mother could birth a 12 pound baby vaginally because she didn't try. You never know until you try!

  • I can't imagine carrying 19 lbs of baby! 9 lbs was big enough for me.

  • There must be no news around that they have to pick on the little cute baby! 12lb is pretty big, but not surprised about it, I met someone that had a baby around 11lbs so what's the big deal as long he's healthy.
