2 Bumps

I stepped on a nail and it went through my foot......

I haven't had a tecnus in like 8or 10 yrs.....I know its been a while....My question is...do you think I should go get one, and/or is that even possible when you are preggo?

  • I did that and the health dept said I had 72 hours to get there and get a new one. Call your doctor.

  • It takes up to two weeks for the antibodies to build up in your system, at which point, you would already have it. I never understood why they give that shot at the time of the injury. Now, that's not to say that you shouldn't get it checked out by a doctor, just that the vaccine most likely wouldn't do anything.

    If you want to get your shot up to date, get one after you have the baby.
