Does he even care??!?!

I was dating someone else when I found out I was pregnant. I broke things up with him when I found out. I tried to fix things with me and my dd's father. But he is IMPOSSIBLE! I started "seeing" my ex again. And he acts like a better father then my bd ever has. But, i dont know, does he even care that his daughter could grow up calling another man "daddy"?!? Should I even CARE if he doesnt?!?!

  • I would not worry about whether he cares or not really. My kids started calling their step dad "Dad" on their own terms in their own time and their bio dad hated it but my dh has been more of a father to them their whole life so why should I worry about it? As long as the kids are comfortable and happy that is ALL I care about!

  • Anyone can be a father, but only someone special can be a dad.

  • If he doesn't care then you shouldn't either. There are many stepdads out there who put real dads to shame. Be happy that you have a great boyfriend who is with you regardless of your pregnancy by another man.

  • I wouldn't bother with him if I were you. He's just going to make you miserable, and make your kids miserable and confused. Kids need a father, whether it be a bio dad or not. They need a good father, I should say. Though, NOT having one is better then having a BAD one.
