Why does my 8 month old shake when shes upset or wants picked up?

Her whole body shakes like she can't control it and her arms and hands really do, as soon as you pick her up shes fine. But the shaking scares me, it looks scary to see.

  • I would film this and bring it to her pediatrician. Good luck.

  • She does it when shes upset, or scared but I've never seen a baby do that before my other dd never did. I just worry about her because of her heart.

  • Stress can sometimes cause mini seizures so I'd get it checked out.

  • Are you sure it isn't her way of showing fear? Maybe she gets scared when you don't pick her up fast enough. Try picking her up faster and see if the shaking stops quicker, too. I always knew when my son was scared because his lip would quiver. Maybe your daughter's physical fear response is to shake.
