How to get cooking oil stains out of clothes?

Is there a trick or am I S.O.L? Thanks for any help.. I finally got a hold of an apron so that's good but one of my nice shirts looks ruined.. ah well.

  • Sure do!!! Pretreat with Dish Soap!!!!! Rub in on, let it sit for a few minutes. You can either rinse it or simply thow it in the wash. Wash on the hot cycle. You can also throw a little oxyclean in if you have it. If you have time run it through another wash before drying! It works almost every time!!!

  • I now use aprons, too, for the same reason. For the oil, try rubbing detergent into it, or stain stick, and hot water.
