21 month old fever and weird mouth thing

i posted earlier about my daughter having a low grade fever.. 101.5 at the highest.. but now everytime she puts something on her tongue or eats something she cries? shes rubbing her eyes alot too adn wen she does that she whines a little and she cries when she eats.. could it be her teeth? throat? how could i tell?? any helpful hints would be great..

  • sore throat, sore ears, thrush, any number of things... Id take her to the drs.

  • Look inside her mouth with a flashlight to see if you see any sores/ulcers. Could be a virus (Hand Foot and Mouth disease), could be strep. My 20 month old just had hand, foot and mouth. He was over it in about 5 days.

  • Teething doesn't cause throw-up. Take her to the doctor. They can check to see if she has a bacterial or viral thing going on and prescribe antibiotics if appropriate or offer advice on what to look for. If she's not throwing up, try some pain-killers so her throat doesn't hurt so much when she eats. Hope she feels better soon.
