Has anyone ever gotten an Extreme DUI? My niece just got one and she is 19. What do you think the future has in store for her? how long will she have to go to jail?

  • Extreme DUI - what's that? Sounds more serious than just a normal DUI.

  • she will get a number . meaning she will go to prison. but sence it was only a DUI (she could have killed someone) and not drugs she will get out in less then a year on her first one.

  • Depends on the state and the BAC. In CA as long as no one is injured and there is no property damage, it's considered a misdemeanor. It involves DUI classes, community service, and possibly jail time depending on the BAC and judge. Also involves a pretty hefty fine.

  • Oh, and being under the legal drinking age will carry a special set of circumstances. Anything over 0.01 is an automatic DUI if a teen is driving.

  • Hopefully, she will go to rehab

  • Luckybear- a DUI means driving under the influence (which includes drugs). A DWI is just intoxication.
