  • I had braxton hicks for about 2 months. The last four weeks they were more prevelant, 1-5 minutes long every 5-10 minutes to maybe 2-3 an hour. I was finally induced.

  • You may never have them, I didn't.

  • Not everyone has them. Some can have them as early as five months. Others don't get them until the last one to two months. It all depends.

  • With my first, I felt Braxton-Hicks contractions throughout the whole third trimester. With my second, I never felt a single contraction until active labor. So there's really no "should" about it. If you feel BH contractions, they can start as early as 20 weeks, sometimes sooner. But if you don't, that's normal, too.

  • Let me be the first to tell you that Braxton Hicks can come at any time. I am 17.5 weeks and when I have been walking and on my feet too much I get them already. They are light and not painful but they are there. Dr says that is normal and fine and I prob feel them more since this is #3 and I have early and false labor history anyway.
