  • i think 4t is a little bit smaller. I know if i buy my son 4t clothes they fit him better than size 4.

  • I think, don't quote me on this though, that a T is sized for a diaper to be underneath?? It's usually a little more roomy than 4's in the butt. At least that's how I always thought of it.

  • I thought 4T meant tall so the pants are a little longer? hmmmm so its smaller? I will have to take note of that next time.

  • sarasmommy, T is for toddler.

4 is bigger than 4T, but not by much. My ODD wears a 3T pant and a size 4 shirt, because 4T doesn't fit.

  • it has room for the diaper meaning it's wider in the butt other than that there is no difference. If your child is out of diapers I'd put the child ina size 4
