Do people still really think that you can pass yeast infections back and forth with your SO?

  • It can be transmitted sexually!

    While yeast infections are not usually considered sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), they can still be transmitted sexually so try to avoid intercourse until you have completed treatment and symptoms have subsided.

  • Yes, a man can be infected; turning it into a penile yeast infection. Yeast infections are not considered an STI, (Sexually Transmitted Infection), only because a celibate woman can have one!

  • Yes. I have had that information from two lady doctors, one a gyn, which is good enough for me.

  • i don't have one someone else on here had one and it brought that question to my mind my doctor told me you can't pass them back and forth

  • My gyno told me that we can pass a yeast infection between us so she gave us both medication for the one I had when I was pregnant. I trust her being right about that.
