  • Yes, I remember when it happened. I have posted many times on here that if you want to see what real racism was just look at the pictures on Google.

    The pictures in the papers of that little boy in his casket have stuck with me all these years. So sad he was only 14.

  • My kids have never heard of him even though every year, they talk about civil rights and racism in school. I myself just learned about him this morning in one of my groups. I just think a story like his deserves to be told and his death remembered.

  • Yes, I have and I didn't have to look at your wikipedia link. While I have no issue with my children learning history, I think they are too young for the gory stories.
