What are some food suggestions to eat while nausea kicks in?

I'm about 5 1/2 weeks preggo & it's kicking my butt. I don't feel like eating anything, but salt & vinegar chips have helped a little.

  • I had to just keep eating small amounts of anything that appealed to me. As long as I had food in my stomach I was ok!! Good Luck!! ;o)

  • my (adoptive mum) told me that chips, and lemonade are good if you are nauseous quite a could stick to the brat diet (banana's rice apples and toast) I also eat oatmeal if I'm sick just the plain ones..

  • LMAO I love salt & vinegar chips but if I touched them at the beginning of this pregnancy they wouldn't have even made it to my stomach.
I would say crackers, toast, outmeal.. although I don't like upchucking any of those. When I was having morning sickness I ate icecream and popsicles and pudding and jello... anything that wouldn't clump and get stuck in my throat if it decided to come back up.. or get stuck on my tongue ring.. ugh. I'll never eat salad again. LOL. GL!

  • the BRAT diet sounds good. I do eat bananas & they help. I haven't really ate rice, but i do eat apples & grilled cheese sandwiches. I love salt & vinergar & so far so go with those, but i don't want to just feed my baby that, and i know that's not healthy. Popsicles i have them packed in my freezer. I will try broth...

  • Toast with little or no butter always helped with my nausea.

  • Keep some saltines or a couple slices of bread on your night stand. Eat them before you get out of bed for the day. Another thing that might help:  Sea band it works with an accupressure point just above your inner wrist and did help me a little, but I had nasuea from severe heartburn.
