How could one learn a.....

British accent without being born with it??? Just practice, practice, practice??

  • Speak to a British person on a regular basis.. Watch British television/movies and speak along with the dialogue. There's more to being convincing than just the accent, one must also: learn British slang, British manuerisms when speaking, and also the dialect/accent/slang will vary in different regions of Britian (just like it does here). So in order to have a convincing accent.. First figure out what area of Britian you want the accent to be from, listen to someone speak often, watch British movies that feature that accent, learn the slang AND practice ,practice, practice.

  • The only genuine way is to live in Britain.  The climate has an effect and you pick up the local dialect without realising it.
