Do you use your leftover ham bones to make bean soup?

  • Yeah, just today I took the fatty bone with the extra fat from our Easter ham and stored it in a freezer bag. I will use it later to flavor beans.

  • No, I hate beans. But, I do save them and use them to make great homestyle green beans. Yum!

  • If I ate ham- yes I would. My mom does and when I USED to eat it- I freaking loved it.

  • When I get a ham, I freeze the bone intending to make some sort of soup, but always end up giving it to the dog the next year when I get another big ham. And this year I didn't get a ham :(.
