  • Normal heart rate is between 120-160...doesn't matter on the gender.

  • Supposedly, according to the old wives' tale, I think it's over 140 for a girl, under for a boy. The cut-off might be a little higher, I don't know. But that's one of the most unfounded myths. Both of mine were in the 150s-160s, and I have a boy and a girl.

  • all babies in the first trimester will have heartbeats anywhere b/w like 140-180 or so depending on how active they are as they get bigger the heart rate goes down. im having a boy and the first time i heard his heartbeat it was 168 at about 11 weeks
