Any successful fundraising ideas for monies for school trips?

One of my kids' class is having to face cancelling school trips if there are no funds raised. How do parents help? Any help is appreciated! They do bake sales and popcorn sales.

  • Have the option of each parent paying so much for the field trip....with the way the economy is a lot of schools are cutting out field trips altogether. You could do a Spring Dance, or a carnival or small festival type fundraiser....Good Luck.

  • Maybe special days sales like petetion for a "Jean day" or to sell things that you can get on Oriental Trader or maybe a "school store" and they could sell pencils, paper etc.
depends on the ages too. My son's K class did ice-cream for their bake sale last year and that was a super hit. With Mother's day coming up maybe fundraise through presents for mom and grandma (or any other special mom figure in your life)... like flowers or a stuffed animal etc.
My children's school does this for Christmas -- they set up a small store inside the school and the kids can purchase thnings for their families... they just send in a flyer b/f hand where parents can limit how much they can spend on who... great for teaching budgeting and money skills too... even the kindergartners.
